For the past several years, Kenworth and the Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) have teamed up to provide a rebate to OOIDA members.  Members who purchase a new Kenworth (new order or dealer stock unit) will receive a rebate for $1,000 (USD) from Kenworth.

Kenworth trucks eligible for the rebate must have a 72, 75, or 86 inch sleeper unit. Both new stock and special order vehicles qualify.   A customer will negotiate their best deal at the dealer of their choice and send copies of the paperwork to OOIDA's membership department. Upon confirmation of the active membership from OOIDA Kenworth Truck Company will send the $1,000 rebate directly to the customer.

Terms and Conditions: 

1.                   $1,000 Rebate on qualifying units.

2.                   Orders must retail between 1/1/2012 and 12/31/2012.

3.                   Limit for single customer will be 3 trucks per year.

4.                   This rebate cannot be combined with any other Kenworth rebate or incentive offer.

5.                   The customer must identify affiliation to the Kenworth dealer at the time of truck     purchase.

6.                   Trucks must be a T660, T700, T800, or W900 model with a 72 inch, 75 inch, or 86  inch sleeper unit factory installed.

7.                   Rebates will be mailed directly to the name on the Warranty Registration.

8.                   OOIDA must confirm membership.

CNG-Powered Kenworth W900S Mixers Help Chicago-based Ozinga Bros. Lower Fuel Costs and Emissions

Drivers Report CNG Trucks Provide Responsive Shifting and Plenty of Power


CHICAGO, Ill., Feb. 2, 2012 — It’s been almost six years since Ozinga Ready Mix Concrete Inc. has replaced the mixer trucks working from its Chinatown Plant near downtown Chicago. So, after careful consideration of the business environment and changing regulations, company officials decided that Kenworth’s compressed natural gas-powered mixers were the best fit.



“We looked at what we wanted to accomplish — reduce our country’s dependence on foreign oil, improve our company’s environmental image by cleaning up emissions from our mixers and lower our fuel costs,” said Tim Ozinga, director of corporate communications for Ozinga Ready Mix Concrete. “Since city officials are trying to reduce emissions from trucks that operate in downtown Chicago, we thought placing all of our new CNG trucks in operation there would have the greatest impact.”

That’s why Ozinga bought 13 compressed natural gas-powered Kenworth W900S mixers and assigned them to its ready-mix concrete plant on South Lumber Street and West 22nd Place near the Dan Ryan Expressway. One of the fleet’s W900S mixers was recently featured in the Kenworth Truck Co. booth at this year’s World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas. The company has plans to install a time-fill fueling station at the Chinatown plant eventually as it replaces more of its diesel-powered mixers with new Kenworth CNG-powered units.

KIRKLAND, Wash., – Kenworth Truck Company announced that it will extend a successful rebate program with the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) through 2011.
 
Originally introduced nine years ago, the program offers a $1,500 rebate to OOIDA members on qualifying purchases of new Kenworth sleeper trucks. Kenworth trucks eligible include the Kenworth T660, T800 and W900 with 72-inch AeroCab(R) or 86-inch Studio AeroCab sleeper, and the T700 with 75-inch AERODYNE(R) sleeper. Buyers must show their OOIDA membership card to their Kenworth dealer at time of purchase in 2011.
 
“Kenworth is pleased to offer owner-operators a $1,500 rebate on qualifying new Kenworth truck purchases in cooperation with OOIDA during 2011,” said Gary Moore, Kenworth assistant general manager for marketing and sales. “More than 600 OOIDA members took advantage of this successful program last year, getting The World’s Best(R) trucks and a nice rebate in their pocket. We appreciate owner-operators and their loyalty to Kenworth trucks, such as the fuel-efficient Kenworth T660 and T700 which help customers reduce operating costs.”
