Baylor Trucking, “Wreath One,” Honors Our Military
MILAN, Ind.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Baylor Trucking, Inc. is leading the convoy of nearly 30,000 wreaths to be laid at Arlington National Cemetery as part of a nationwide effort to honor our military. Baylor Trucking, known as “Wreath One,” is participating for the third year in Wreaths Across America, a program with the mission to “Remember the fallen, honor those who serve and teach our children the value of freedom.”
“It has been a life changing experience to participate”
Baylor President and Army Veteran Bob Baylor is driving “Wreath One,” a flag-adorned Kenworth truck, throughout the week-long processional of 10 states. “This is an experience that has touched my heart as a Veteran, and I am inspired by our country’s Patriotism,” says Baylor. “It is wonderful to see school age children to WWII Veterans waving flags, singing God Bless America and showing pride in our Red, White and Blue.”
Wreaths Across America is donating over 319,000 memorial wreaths this year. Ceremonies will be held in every state from sea to shining sea, Pearl Harbor and 24 national cemeteries overseas. This year, every victim of the 9/11 tragedy will be honored with a tribute wreath. Baylor Trucking has also donated trucks to cover the National Cemeteries throughout the Midwest.
“It has been a life changing experience to participate,” says Cari Baylor, who is riding with her father Bob. “Every stop on the processional etches another memory on my heart of the families and soldiers who have shown bravery to keep us free.” The Worcester family, the Patriot Guard, a POW from WWII, and five Gold Star Mothers are all sharing moments recognizing the service of our men and women protecting our country.
Bob, his wife Beth, and Cari Baylor will join thousands of volunteers on Saturday to lay the memorial wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. Wreath ceremonies will continue at The Pentagon, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean War and WWII Memorials.
Baylor Trucking is also posting video feeds and photos of the journey at www.youtube.com/BaylorTrucking and on the Baylor Trucking page of Facebook.
